BEIJING-- The high-performance, affordable expert system design released just recently by Chinese startup DeepSeek has created a wave of attention around the globe. DeepSeek-R1 appears to use performance that competitors alternatives from the U.S., however the business states it was at less than a tenth of the expense of those models. Chinese technology news portal 36Kr spoke with the business’s founder, Liang Wenfeng, in July 2024.
